This course is aimed at building contractors working on mechanical systems as well as designers and consultants looking to learn the practical skills required of building to the Passive House standard. The primary focus is on Mechanical Ventilation with Energy Recovery (ERV).
5 days of direct contact classroom and hands-on workshop training, from 8.30am to 5.30pm each day.
Combination of classroom lectures and presentations (about 50% of course) as well as practical work and experience in the Passive House building workshop.
High quality colour training manuals are provided at course commencement. All practical equipment and materials also provided in the workshop. Participants will need to bring their own safety boots/shoes and a pair of gloves for hand protection when handling some course materials.
Class size is typically between 10 and 14 persons.
The CPHCT-BS exam is set by the International Passive House Institute and takes place all round the world on pre-determined dates per year. We aim to schedule our training to allow sufficient study time between course completion and the exam dates.
On successfully passing the exam, Participants will receive the internationally recognized accreditation as 'Certified Passive House Tradesperson - Mechanical Building Services Specialist', joining a rapidly expanding global community.
